“We had a very positive experience with Phoenix Expeditions, who organised and ran our school expedition in April 2026 for Hurst Lodge School, a SEN setting.
 
Despite contacting them at very short notice after our original trip fell through, the team were extremely accommodating and supportive in helping us put together a successful expedition. Their flexibility and responsiveness made a real difference during what could have been a stressful situation.
The cost of the expedition was very reasonable, particularly given the level of service and support provided throughout.

Most importantly, the expedition felt safe and well-managed at all times. The staff was outstanding—professional, approachable, and incredibly skilled in working with our students. They built strong relationships quickly, and our students responded very positively to them, which greatly enhanced the overall experience.
We also appreciated the practical support provided. Phoenix Expeditions supplied tents and trangias, and it was reassuring to know they had spare equipment available. When one of our students’ sleeping bags broke, they were able to replace it immediately without any disruption.

Overall, it was a highly successful trip, and we would not hesitate to recommend Phoenix Expeditions to other schools, particularly those working with SEN students.”
